ACT believes in achieving empowerment through Authentic Inclusion
Our pillar mission is to inspire those with disabilities to feel empowered and find value in their disabilities, and to inspire society and the government to see the value in inclusion.
A closer look
The Challenge
15% of the world’s population – over 1 billion people, experience some form of disability. The estimated number of visually impaired people in the world is 285 million – 39 million blind and 246 million with low vision. The primary challenges of persons with disabilities include unreachable physical environments and transportation, the unavailability & inaccessibility of assistive devices & technologies, non-adaptive means of communication, gaps in service delivery, and discriminatory stigma in society. At ACT, we believe that disability should not just be seen from a human rights lens. It’s all about a value-based perspective. Our society is missing out because we are forgetting a large part of our community!
Our focus
From all sorts of special needs to disabilities, such as visual impairment, and more, our focus is to disrupt and transform what disability means. It’s all about Authentic Inclusion. Technology impacts all aspects of our daily lives. As such, providing an unparalleled experience for every member of society has become a universal demand – not just for the majority.
ACT keeps finding & creating ways in which we, as a society, can generate sustainable change – and tap into enormous opportunities – by viewing Authentic Inclusion as strategic and by addressing our societal diversity more proactively.
